Directions:
There are many ways to make a fruit arrangement. The directions listed below are ideas to create specific floral shapes with fruit. When you have created the pieces you want, you can easily arrangement them as you desire.
Pineapple
- Cut the pineapple into thin, even slices.
- Place the cookie cutter in the center of the pineapple slice. Cover the cookie cutter with the plastic lid.
- Hammer the cookie cutter until it cuts through the pineapple.
- Remove cookie cutter and trim any pineapple “strings” from the flower shape.
- Cut a small square of pineapple or cantaloupe rind. Place it on the skewer. The rind will prevent the fruit from sliding down the skewer.
- Slide the pineapple on the skewer.
- Add a center using a melon ball or berry.
Watermelon
- Cut the watermelon into thin, even slices.
- Use the cookie cutter to cut a flower shape. Several flowers can be cut from each slice of watermelon. Remember to cover the cookie cutter with the plastic lid.

- Remove cookie cutter and trim any watermelon “strings” from the flower shape.
- Cut a small square of watermelon or cantaloupe rind. Place it on the skewer. The rind will prevent the fruit from sliding down the skewer.
- Slide the watermelon on the skewer. For a layered effect, slice the pineapple on the skewer, followed by the watermelon.

Cantaloupe and Honeydew Melon
Both cantaloupe and honeydew melon make wonderful leaves or flower centers.
To make a flower center, using a melon scoop and scoop out small balls.
Grapes
Grapes add great color to an arrangement.
Simply slide clean grapes onto a skewer. Stagger the lengths that the grapes run. Use separate skewers for the red and green grapes, or use the colors together in a pattern on the skewer.
Strawberries
Strawberries can be used plain or dipped in chocolate.
- Slide a small cantaloupe rind onto the skewer.
- Slide the plain or strawberry onto the skewer with the leaf side down.
- Fluff out the leaves.
Assembling the Edible Fruit Arrangement
To assemble the fruit arrangement, place the head lettuce in the serving container you have selected. To add a nice green effect, place several kale leaves over the head lettuce, covering it completely.
Stick the flower skewers into the head lettuce, placing the tallest skewers in first. Next, fill in the melon leaves. Add the strawberries, followed by the grapes.
