Yummy Halloween Craft

Simple to Make, Delicious to Eat


If you are looking for an edible Halloween craft that are easy for kids, this mini Bundt cake craft is a great idea. Using the cake shape, orange glaze and a Rollo candy, you can make the cake look like a pumpkin. This craft project could be party entertainment for kids or it could be given to teachers, friends or family. Read on to learn how to make your pumpkin.


Craft Project Time: 1 hour


Supplies
  • Cake mix or cake recipe

  • Powdered Sugar

  • 1-2 tbsp. milk

  • Red and yellow food coloring

  • Mini Bundt cake pan

  • Rolo candy


Directions

  1. Bake cake according to recipe.

  2. Cool cake completely.

  3. While cake is cooling, mix the glaze. Sift 1 cup of powdered sugar into a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon milk and mix well. If glaze is too dry, add additional milk ½ tablespoon at a time. It should pour smoothly without being too runny.

  4. When the glaze is the right consistency, add 2 drops of red food coloring and 3 drops of yellow food coloring and mix well.



  5. Place the cooled mini cake on a wire rack with a plate underneath to catch the drippings.

  6. Pour glaze over the mini cake, covering completely. Use a spatula when the glaze is still wet to spread and cover cake. Let the glaze dry.

  7. When the glaze is dry, transfer the mini Bundt to a serving dish. Place a Rolo candy on the top of the cake in the indentation.



This pumpkin shaped mini Bundt cake is an easy craft for Halloween. Serve and enjoy.


This craft project is very easy for kids. Adult supervision is required when cooking the cake. However, children will enjoy pouring the glaze on top of the cake. Place the glaze in a small container, such as a liquid measuring cup. This is the perfect size for small hands. After pouring the glaze, children can spread it with a knife.
